Epic Games Download: The Safe Way

How to Download and Install the Launcher
- Go to the official page. Open the Epic Games Store download page; avoid third-party download sites.
- Run the installer. Approve the Windows or macOS permission prompt.
- Sign in. Use your Epic account and turn on two-factor authentication if you have not.
- Set the install folder. In Settings, choose a drive with plenty of space, ideally an SSD.
- Install a game. Open your Library, select a game and choose Install.
The New Epic Games Launcher Preview
On October 14, 2026, Epic released a preview of a rebuilt launcher for Windows, macOS and Linux. Epic says it starts faster, uses fewer resources and adds a unified downloads view and cross-app party chat, though the first version is light on features.
